“The Institute" presents:
A Dialogue with Dr. Kunihiro Matsuki – the workshop approved by the author of “The Way to the Psychoanalytical Listening.”
Overview:
The workshop is built on our experience over time and designed for psychoanalytical psychotherapists at all levels who are interested in learning how to “listen to the mind of patients/clients.”
It will be comprised of eight courses and coordinated by the Director of the Institute, Dr. Hiroyuki Fujimoto.
Methodology:
The Way to the Psychoanalytical Listening will be your textbook and guide you through the workshop which will be streamed online.
During the first seven courses, the members of the Instituteworkshop will present their work on each chapter of the textbook assigned to them.
Through the presentation, they will raise clinical questions based on the textbook and try to form them into questions for the author with the assistance of Dr. Fujimoto.
The workshop will conclude with a dialogue between the members and Dr. Matsuki.
He will listen and respond to the members’ questions in his psychoanalytical way.
By viewing their interactions during the dialogue, you can share the air and atmosphere surrounding them.
This experience of “psychoanalytical listening” may be applied to your practices ranging from general counseling to handling of the transferences of psychotic and autistic.
Although the workshop will be conducted entirely in Japanese, we will be offering a summary of the recording in English later for purchase. The announcement will be posted on our website in December.

Dr. Kunihiro Matsuki is an internationally renowned Japanese training psychoanalyst.
He is a member of International Psychoanalytical Association and the Professor Emeritus of Kyoto University.
Dr. Hiroyuki Fujimoto is a Japanese psychoanalytical psychotherapist and psychiatrist.
